The Material Master Data Associate is responsible for the comprehensive management of material master data within their assigned territory. This includes overseeing all facets of material setup and support for corporate demand planning, account services, sourcing, logistics, social compliance, security, brand operations, and finance. The specialist ensures the accuracy and integrity of material data, which is critical for optimizing business processes and achieving organizational goals. This role requires a high level of expertise in data management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and support the company's strategic initiatives.
Primary Duties:
Ensure the accurate and timely setup and maintenance of material data, including sales status updates, to support corporate demand planning and logistics.
Manage vendor accounts, ensuring all relevant information is up-to-date and compliant with company standards.
Extend sales views to appropriate regions to optimize market reach and sales performance based on forecasting.
Create and maintain Costing & Pricing (CAP), purchase info (PIRS), and source lists for materials, ensuring accurate financial data and cost management.
Oversee the setup, extensions and maintenance of articles for retail, including vendor UPC creation and maintenance, to ensure product availability and compliance.
Review label data errors, investigate root causes, and implement necessary steps to resolve issues, ensuring data integrity.
Generate and maintain UPCs, sales, and purchase grids, ensuring accurate product identification and tracking.
Analyze data, complete system updates, and generate reports to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
Partner with relevant parties to enter, coordinate and complete transfer orders, optimizing inventory management and logistics. Updating future transfer maintenance as needed for optimal planning and shipping of transfer orders
Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree is preferred. Experience with SAP Material Master is a plus.
A minimum of two years of experience in a business environment.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel functions, formulas, and pivot tables.
High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Demonstrate resilience and maintain a high level of professionalism in high-pressure situations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of material data while effectively managing complex tasks and deadlines.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, effectively prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely and accurate completion of responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Working Conditions:
U.S. Remote. Must be located either in IN, OH or MI. May be required to attend in-person meetings.
