Wolverine Worldwide’s continued success is driven by our ability to stay true to our simple mission: we empower, engage and inspire our consumers – every step of the way.The Physical Security Specialist involves overseeing corporate campus security through emergency response, access control, patrols, armed and event security, administrative duties, and phone support. It also includes managing and auditing security systems, completing incident reports, working flexible hours, traveling to nearby sites, and fulfilling additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
Primary Duties:
Respond to emergencies on corporate campus: medical, fire, natural disasters, or violent threats
Provide and enforce access control for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery drivers
Performs walking patrols of corporate campus
Provide administrative support on contract guard schedule, invoicing, training, and paperwork
Perform receptionist duties to cover daily breaks, lunches, and meetings
Answer phones: mobile and corporate to support US operations
Provide event security for private and public events
Provide armed security as directed by Global Security leadership
Monitor, review, audit, maintenance, and use of security systems: intrusion alarm systems, CCTV, and card access programs
Complete incident reports as needed
Review guard logs, monthly audit logs, and incidents for completion
Requires after-hour work including nights and weekends
Requires reliable transportation for short assignments at nearby facilities
Performs other duties as required/assigned by leadership
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL)
1 - 3 years work experience in armed position
Must pass internal qualification process for armed security
CPR, AED, and First Aid certified
Demonstrate knowledge and experiences with use of force and de-escalation
Works well under pressure and in a team environment
Good oral and written communications
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Working Conditions:
Office environment. This position will be onsite Monday- Friday each week.
