Designs footwear product by conceptualizing and providing ideation sketches, pattern adjustments, technical drawings, and material specifications that take into consideration market trends and creative vision, while following product development timelines, costing, and manufacturing goals.

Job Description

  • Create footwear designs appropriate for the target consumer and developed within the project timelines according to project briefs.
  • Ability to seamlessly cross into both performance and lifestyle categories.
  • Research marketing and fashion trends. Collaborate with product leadership on seasonal direction.
  • Partner with design leadership, product development, and marketing to collaborate on design projects and maximize effectiveness.
  • Partner with materials team to assess and evaluate seasonal material needs.
  • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent experience required.
  • 7+ years of footwear design experience required.
  • Proven leadership skills with at least 2 years’ experience in leading or influencing others.
  • In-depth knowledge of design process.
  • Solid presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • In-depth computer skills and experience with 3D, Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, and PhotoShop software. 

Working Conditions

Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
