Analyst, Strategic Costing

This position is responsible for Costing metrics automation, analysis of Cost (FOBs, LOPs and Material Prices), and CBD efficiencies across all the brands, factories and materials categories. The role is focused on strategic costing: identifying, evaluating and validating cost impact season over season and year over year using fact-based analytical tools.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Develop automated analytical tools and use fact-based tools to identify and validate seasonal and annual cost movement and quantify the financial impact.
  • Create and maintain a centralized database of historical FOBs, LOPs, and Material Prices at SKU level by milestone, season, brand, factory, and COO, and the total FOB, LOP, and Material Spend for each month/season.
  • Prepare historical LOP analysis for new season’s reference.
  • Support seasonal LOP negotiations using historical LOP and should-cost analysis by brand by factory aligned to costing calendar.
  • Develop and automate the landed cost calculator and co-work with the operational costing team for estimated landed cost.
  • Automate the costing KPIs and maintain the tracking at each milestone.
  • Maintain Costing Framework Inputs.
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned by direct line Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • 2+ years of experience in data science and analytics.
  • Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel, Python/PBI/VBA/automate workflow coding, and understanding Dax/M-language formula.
  • Working knowledge in footwear or related industries preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Must be fluent in written & spoken English.
  • Strong organizational skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Based at one of the Wolverine offices or factory offices as assigned.
