As a Lead Network Engineer on the Global Infrastructure and Networking team, you will work in a high-performance team environment and be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network and security technologies to solve large, strategic problems, transforming these complex problems into simple solutions. You will evaluate and define network security policies and controls; manage network infrastructure; perform security risk assessments; respond to security events; make data-driven optimizations; and resolve complex operational issues in production through improvements to designs, software, and processes.
This role requires extensive experience in engineering and operation of large-scale enterprise networks, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, Cloud, and Datacenter, as well as experience in developing and operating security systems and applications to defend the network infrastructure against cyber threats—protecting data, applications, devices, and systems connected to the network.
Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in network engineering with a proven track record of leading complex projects and mentoring team members.
8 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting networks and security systems in organizations with wide area networks.
Industry certification, such as CCNP or equivalent training and development.
In-depth experience with TCP/IP network fundamentals, routing and switching technologies and protocols (BGP, OSPF, DMVPN, SDWAN, BFD), and network platforms (Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki).
Experience in enterprise network security and data protection technologies, including identity/access management, encryption, key management, and data loss prevention.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with cloud networking (Azure), Cisco ISE, Umbrella, SIEM, ThousandEyes, and WAF.
Experience in major incident management and security incident response.
Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration, secure software development, application security and pen testing.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to adapt priorities in a dynamic business landscape, managing multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
Demonstrable ability to mentor others in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support secure solutions for a hybrid cloud network infrastructure, defining and developing automations to enable large-scale deployments and operations.
Lead by example through hands-on engineering, promoting best practices in network design, automation, and security.
Obsess over customer experience and drive operational excellence through strong technical leadership, continuous learning, and mentorship.
Own the end-to-end delivery of network initiatives, from concept to production deployment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Collaborate directly with Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, and Support Services team to assess and build robust, integrated infrastructure solutions that support rapid product development.
Champion and uphold rigorous standards for network reliability, security, and performance (99.999% uptime).
Act as a primary escalation point for major network incidents; lead the collaborative troubleshooting efforts to quickly diagnose and resolve critical issues under pressure.
Foster a blameless post-mortem culture, leading retrospectives to turn incidents into valuable learning opportunities and process improvements for the team.
Develop technical and business proficiency through education, work assignments, and research to facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and constructive code/design reviews to promote the team’s learning agility.
Develop policies and documentation on best practices for new network technologies, as well as adoption methods.
Function as an area leader on large projects and/or project leader on medium and large projects. Coordinate resources, milestones, schedules, and related communication to meet project deliverables.
Identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities in our environment, while performing security reviews and audits to help our Cybersecurity team with compliance activities and response to cyber threats, incidents, and anomalies.
Collaborate with vendors, industry organizations, and cross-functional teams on the development of new network capabilities, translating network roadmaps and business requirements into actionable technical strategy.
Participate in rotating on-call schedule; support disaster recovery initiatives and change management processes; and assist in developing workflow standards and procedures.
