The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for leading supply planning activities for the business unit. This will include consolidation of proposed buy plans, leads the rolling monthly supply planning processes and working closely with Inventory Planning, Supply Planning and the Sourcing teams to develop and execute aligned supply plans. Ensures that the monthly buy process activities are executed on time. Be a strong partner in developing and implementing the Integrated Planning Processes in Wolverine.

Primary Duties:

  • Receives and consolidates buy plans.
  • Leads creating and executing integrated, aligned, stable, and agile supply plans to efficiently meet the fill rates, productivity and service level targets.
  • Leads executing the supply-side of new product launches with Product, Sales, Sourcing, and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing, Demand and Inventory teams to develop/adjust inputs for production planning and material management flow.
  • Validates and confirms buy plan by working with the sourcing, logistics and inventory planning teams.
  • Ensure PO confirmation on time by working with the sourcing, logistics and inventory planning teams.  
  • Ensures deliverables are on time and accurate in systems.
  • Assist in creation of automated reports to drive business decisions and call-to-action triggers to highlight performance and risk.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
  • Lead and develop the team.
  • Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Minimum of four years of experience with four years in production and capacity planning/materials replenishment/demand planning
  • Bachelor’s degree with an MBA or advance degree preferred but not a requirement.
  • Experience in footwear/apparel industry preferred but not a requirement.
  • Strong Background in Planning Systems and transactional ERPs e.g. SAP
  • Knowledge and experience in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials required planning, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning and analytics.
  • Strong leadership qualities including interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Result oriented, problem solver with strong information seeking skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to build partnerships and influence teams.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and develop strong working relationships.

  • Proficient with MS office (specifically Excel & PowerPoint) and Planning Tools
  • Systems proficiency is a must.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment.
