Today, Cat Footwear is not only known as a leader in industrial work, but also a global lifestyle brand.The Senior Site Merchandiser develops, owns and leads the strategic ecommerce merchandising function in order to maximize consumer experience and drive revenue growth for the brand.
Primary Duties:
Has a deep expertise of the brand, its consumers, and its products to present a compelling story online and maximize revenue and conversion.
Partner with ecommerce buyer and content manager and brand marketing and product development teams to plan and execute seasonal marketing features based on key brand stories, seasonality, forecasts, selling trends, and available inventory. Collaborate on exclusive product offerings.
Own and execute the strategy for site taxonomy and style categorization to facilitate product browsing and conversion.
Provide ongoing leadership in the area of seasonal merchandising plans to create a compelling consumer experience and to effectively present product stories in an integrated manner across all ecommerce touch points (site, email, social, display etc.).
Recommend and implement seasonal promotional plans to maximize revenue and achieve gross margin targets, in direct partnership with buying and planning.
Determines KPIs and uses reporting and web analytics tools such as Orderwave and Omniture to create new reports, analyze data, and make appropriate recommendations for experience and product presentation performance. Provide summary of findings to senior leadership members.
Identify and propose optimization projects. rive A/B testing to optimize conversion performance. Identifies business needs, leads researching the marketplace and competitive set for best practices, trends, new ideas and actions to be taken related to the online consumer shopping experience and site presentation.
Has in-depth knowledge of SEO and partners with ecommerce marketing to support SEO initiatives.
Provide ongoing leadership and troubleshooting support for other team members.
Develop long term product cross sell and upsell strategies. Influence brand product and marketing teams to proactively support strategies through resource investments. Collaborate with technology and marketing teams to drive strategies across programs.
Develop deep understanding of profitability drivers by category, and by fulfillment channel, leveraging site experience and frequency fulfillment to drive sustainable digital growth.
Provide in-depth guest, business, and financial analysis for key strategic initiatives, launches, seasons, etc.
Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Merchandising, or Mathematics background
6-8 years of online merchandising experience, preferably in a direct-to-consumer environment, including experience working with both buying and/or planning as well as site merchandising
Experience with web technology platforms/working with a content management system to update pages
Exceptional quantitative/analytical skills necessary
Exceptional organizational and communication skills; Ability to present to Sr. Leadership and tailor presentation to audience
Ability to work at both the strategic and tactical levels
Excellent understanding and passion for websites, UI and Visual Site Merchandising
Strong Product knowledge of footwear & apparel required
Proficient knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint – advanced Excel skills preferred
Ability to analyze and synthesize data, to make data-based decisions and recommendations
Ability to influence others of all levels including executive leaders within eCommerce, brand, and cross-functional teams
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
