The Footwear Engineering Intern will work with the Saucony team, to gain hands-on experience in managing and optimizing engineering process. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product success.

Primary Duties:

• Operate and maintain 3D printers.

• Operate and maintain 3D scanners.

• Assist and support mechanical testing of new materials.

• Coordinate and Maintain at a global scale Engineering Data with Asia and USA partners for seasonal workload (2D/3D files) for all molded components.

• Support basic CAD needs for Development and Design.

• Quality inspection tasking of new Molded Components for inline seasonal workload.

• Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.

• Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

• Student studying Industrial design, Footwear Design or Development, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering. Somebody with the ambition to be hands on with footwear creation at a technical level in both the soft and hard goods aspects from singular componentry to product assembly.

• Must have experience with 3D engineering software. Experience with Rhino is desirable.

• Has experience with filament-based 3D printing. Having experience with PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer, Kilipper based systems is a plus.

• Must be comfortable with being able to use tools to cut and modify shoe or for inspection and or testing.

• Experience with MS Office

• Ideal candidate is an active runner or student athlete.
