Wolverine Worldwide’s continued success is driven by our ability to stay true to our simple mission: we empower, engage and inspire our consumers – every step of the way.The Financial Analyst II will support the accounting/financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis for the Company’s Global Supply Chain functions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Primary Duties:
Work closely with team members to build annual budgets and quarterly forecasts that align to enterprise strategy.
Oversee financial close process, enter adjustments, and perform other financial close tasks.
Liaise with brand teams and divisional finance teams to develop and implement new procedures and features to enhance and simplify financial reporting.
Develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial reporting and control.
Manage the maintenance of financial reports and tools, including troubleshooting of issues and applying solutions.
Assist with the period, quarter and year end closing activities including preparation of period end reporting packages for internal and external audiences.
Actively participate in ongoing projects independently and as a member of cross-functional teams, search for and realize efficiencies, and act as business owner of consolidated financial reporting.
Respond to inquiries from the Corporate Controller, internal and external auditors, and Financial Planning & Analysis team regarding financial results, internal controls and special requests.
Perform various variance analyses and statistical analyses related to the company’s global accounting areas.
Provide financial support to the brands, GSC and executive management where needed.
Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting CPA and/or MBA preferred or equivalent work experience.
4 years work experience with financial reporting, and financial planning, forecasting, and analysis preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent professional communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in excel, SAP and Power BI a plus.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment.
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
