This position supports strategic alignment and supplier network management through innovative operational excellence, on-time performance, development of strong supplier relationships, and cost control. This position will analyze data, research, and provide recommendations to improve value to WWW, our partners, and our customers.
Operational / Project Support
Monitor current and future freight volumes to anticipate and adjust to capacity and network challenges. Guide logistics needs and serve as a key point of contact with appropriate levels of each brand, WWW Retail, and corporate facilities. Manage daily carrier relationships to ensure compliance with WWW policies and escalate challenges to the supervisor when appropriate. Performs day-to-day procedures supporting systemic shipment processes per established guidelines while maintaining the ability to make ad hoc decisions as necessary to support business needs. Review and identify any issues with documentation following established processes to correct and ensure the timely freight flow within the logistics network. Facilitate corrective actions when problems arise by following established processes and escalating to leadership when necessary. Supports the consistent and professional completion of projects according to the defined scope, budget, schedule, and service purchase. Participates in the tactical execution of projects with Sourcing, Trade Compliance, Distribution, Finance, IT, Indirect Procurement, Demand Planning, Global Supply Chain Security and Shared Service partners.
Business Systems
Support the development and implementation of specific software and applications to assist and/or automate processes leading to efficiencies in logistics operations.
Process Development
Establish day-to-day procedures and solutions to achieve measurable process improvements by defining, designing, and implementing continuous improvement programs using the applicable methodology and analytics. Ensuring processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment.
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
