The Public Relations Specialist supports the development and execution of public relations marketing efforts for the brand including social media channels, programs, and messages.

Job Description

Primary Duties

  • Support and drive product seeding, identifying new opportunities for authentic placements and exposure.

  • Coordinate PR events and manages communications across department stakeholders.

  • Coordinate assets needed for PR/influencer agency to execute plans

  • Collaborate with the internal creative team to ensure creation of best-in-class PR and events assets that will help us drive the optimal mix of paid-owned-earned media.

  • Continuously benchmarks industry data, researches best practices; provides feedback based on competitive landscape.

  • Responsible for driving internal brand PR initiatives

  • Responsible for creating and delivering assets to support media requests.

  • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.

  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Advertising and/or Marketing or equivalent work experience

  • 1+ years Public Relations and/or Marketing experience

  • Consumer product experience required; experience in the footwear or apparel industry preferred.

  • Strong personal connections with brand mission and understanding of target consumer behaviors.

  • Strong project management skills, time management skills and attention to detail while simultaneously managing multiple projects.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as be part of a team.

Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
