To help further this mission, we are looking for a Sales Manager who will report directly to VP of Sales.

This entrepreneurial individual will help us drive growth of Chaco in US wholesale. This individual’s success will be based on their strong leadership and drive for results to build winning partnerships with customers and help transform our business.

Job Description

Primary Duties

  • Identifies partnership needs by analyzing consumer, customer, and macro landscape insights to find ways to improve and grow our business and achieve financial goals.

  • Formulates action plans by setting sales, product and marketing strategies for long term business development of all customers within multiple channels of distribution.

  • Develops seasonal financial performance plans and monitors progress against target revenue and profit goals at retail.

  • Directs, monitors, and assists the retailer and sales representatives in achieving sales goals through detailed analysis of sales performance and product performance.

  • Creates a customized business model for each account.

  • Works with the product team to create customized product for these specific customers.

  • Works with merchandising to research “what works” with these retailers and customize assortments. 

  • Manages retailer sales, inventory and profitability to help maximize both of our businesses.

  • Maximizes account marketing (e.g. retail presence, Point of Purchase (P.O.P.), promotional events, collateral pieces, etc.) to deliver brand message to both retailers and consumers.

  • Proactively develops plans to expand distribution into new accounts.

  • Communicates and influences cross-functionally with internal and external teams to gain support for the business.

  • Maintains excellent senior relationship with key accounts and proactively cultivates an active network of strategic customer relationships to grow business opportunities long-term.

  • Identifies coaching and development opportunities with management to enable growth and continuous improvement.

  • Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies. Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years of sales experience in wholesale retail sectors; preferably in footwear.  Management experience preferred.

  • Extremely motivated, a tenacious self-starter and able to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

  • Inspires action cross-functionally and influences without authority.

  • A growth mindset with a drive for results and continuous improvement.

  • Leverages data and insights to tell a compelling story in an effort to drive action internally and externally.

  • Must be a strong negotiator with ability to develop creative solutions to resolve areas of disagreement.

  • Demonstrates strong decision-making skills to pursue opportunities or address issues.

  • Strong presentation and excellent written communication skills.
  • Experience executing a go-to-market strategy.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office environment.  Extensive travel required (50%).  Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary Minimum

$142,500.00

Salary Maximum

$157,500.00
