To help drive this journey, we are looking for a Senior Finance Manager, who will report to our Sr. Finance Director.

This role will lead our Merrell US Wholesale finance team to drive financial performance and build business plans and strategies. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strength in coordinating across a complex organization and driving action through a solution-oriented approach.

  • Responsible for the overall review and communication of the financial position, operating results, and performance metrics on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Provides financial direction, guidance, and strategy for the business’ performance including responsibility for business planning, capital planning, financial forecasting, and preparing for operational reviews.
  • Directs the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly financial forecasting, and other supporting analysis.
  • Approves and tracks pricing of the product lines and go-to-market support, selling programs, customer terms and conditions, and major closeout deals.
  • Collaborates with brand leadership on department budgets to develop detail cost center plans.
  • Work with Sales leadership to build and track detailed revenue projections and gross margin expectations.
  • Works with Demand Planning on sales and operations planning to optimize the accuracy of inventory projections, understand and communicate factory capacity and delays, and analyze the business impact of product and logistical costing trends.
  • Provide insights on the brand with focus on business trends (current shipments and order backlog position), product category and key customer performance, and key drivers of variances against forecast expectations.
  • Lead and develop a team of high performing finance professionals.
  • Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performing other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • 8+ years’ experience in finance or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Proven people leadership skills with at least 2 years’ experience at the manager level.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive projects and build buy-in and support.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex business issues, interpret and distill complex data and provide analysis, projections, and conclusions in a meaningful simple format for leadership.
  • Brings a strong team mentality approach to their work and is comfortable driving and influencing change.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency with strong organizational focus, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Actively embraces a growth mindset with an openness to feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Suite of products.

Working Conditions:

Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
