To help drive this journey, we are looking for a Demand Planning Director, reporting into the VP Brand Planning.

The Demand Planning Director will help us develop and implement best-in-class process and tools to drive improved planning accuracy to help brand build more profitable growth for the future for the brand. This individual’s success will be based on their strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as an aptitude for understanding the complexities of the global market and business models.

1. Lead the demand planning process and develop strategies to support business objectives while utilizing data and analytics to drive decision-making.
2. Develop demand planning analysis, leveraging statistical data analysis methods/tools that will balance customer, region, and brand needs and risk in accordance with demand planning best practices.
3. Identify demand needs by coordinating across regions in partnership with product development, marketing, sales and finance teams to evaluate and recommend potential solutions.
4. Monitor global market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
5. Collaborate cross-functionally to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect the updates sales and marketing assumptions.
6. Implement best practices in data analysis that will lead to better decision making as we grow in complexity.
7. Lead and develop a team of demand planning professionals.
8. Deliver analysis and recommendations to executives in a dynamic business that requires robust analysis and documentation, clear and crisp communication of key insights and action to drive changes within short intervals.
9. Drive post-mortem review of the demand forecasts to assure a continuous improvement cycle.
10. Build a roadmap for process and tool development to generate systematic reporting and execution.
11. Develop and implement cost-saving strategies.
12. Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
13. Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:


• 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, demand planning, and/or analytics, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
• Experience in integrated planning process required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive projects and build buy-in and support.
• Brings innovation, creativity and a continuous improvement mindset to evolve processes.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex business issues.
• Proven experience in building strong relationships cross-functionally.
• Technical certifications or experience relevant to data analysis/BI.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams
• Great written and verbal communication and can successfully spread marketing best-practices throughout the organization, especially new ideas, concepts to internal and external stakeholders.

Working Conditions

Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.

Need to be comfortable working across time zones due to global nature of the role (e.g., meetings in late evenings and / or early mornings)
